What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Roles and Responsibilities:

• Drive, manage, execute and deliver Consolidated Management and Statutory financial reports.
• Support Central Functions including Logistics and Loyalty management team on their back-office accounting & financial activities.
• Support and ensure overall financial governance and compliance within Retail operations including financial process, systems, and tax matters.

Functional Roles and Responsibilities:

• Consolidations – Monthly MIS, semi-annual Budgets / Forecasts, semi-annual external audits and preparation of monthly rolling cash forecast.
• Consolidated level analytics of business based on historical data and trends from business verticals.
• Reporting – Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of monthly management financials, statutory audited financials, budgets & forecasts, cash forecasting, and total business level analytics.
• Project participation & project management – be part of, or own, recurring workstreams such as audits, but also support on cross-functional projects in Charts of Accounts revisions, tax, accounting, and finance processes.
• Ensure that all agreed recommendations relating to finance and risk management, systems and processes are actioned appropriately.
• Central Support functions – Finance Business Partnering support for Logistics, Loyalty Program (Amber) and Central costs.
• Allocations – owner of a detailed cost allocation model which splits central costs across all business verticals and legal entities. The Finance Manager will own the methodology and implementation.
• Support the Finance Associate Director with overall Financial Control and Oversight across the Retail entities.
• Support the Finance Associate Director with financial system ownership and systems controls.
• Oversee Tax and other Compliance matters (day-to-day operations handled by dedicated team).
• Joint Venture accounting, including investment values, share in profits, impairment assessments, managing limited scope audits.

People Management Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 2-3 finance professionals and reports to the Finance Associate Director. The role will be accountable for consolidation of all legal and operating entities across various business verticals across GCC countries. 
• Identify and assess training needs of team members to improve team efficiency.
• Guide, develop inspire and motivate direct reports to enhance performance and quality of work.
• Ensure team compliance with Group standards, procedures, and practices.

About You

You will oversee the financial consolidation and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across the organisation. This role requires strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate with various departments to enhance reporting efficiency.

• Minimal Education qualification should be either in CA, CPA or ACCA from reputed countries.
• Minimum of 8years of large corporate industry and Big 4 experience, including 4years of statutory and consolidation experience.
• Strong exposure in management consolidation; statutory consolidations, spanning across border entities, subsidiaries, associate entities.
• Excellent in preparing of reporting packs, ideally at Group and Board level
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS expertise.
• Knowledge and exposure to taxation. Managed audits at senior level.
• Handled and worked with major ERPs (Oracle, SAP, JDE, Hyperion, Power BI) and excellent in Excel & PowerPoint.
• Strong communicator who can influence and engage senior stakeholders on a wide variety of accounting and non-accounting matters; must be able to explain complex accounting matters to non-finance stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and under pressure to deliver projects in a timely manner and to the required standard.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Proactive, collaborative, and consultative in leadership style.
• English (excellent in Verbal and written) – Arabic is an added advantage.
