Consultant in Infectious Diseases Full Time

• Provide expert consultation and diagnosis for patients with complex infectious disease conditions.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans and ensure the appropriate use of antimicrobial therapies.
• Manage patients with a range of infectious diseases, including viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to manage complex cases and collaborate with specialists as needed.

Research and Education:

• Conduct clinical research to advance the knowledge and treatment of infectious diseases.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, treatments, and emerging infectious diseases.
• Lead and contribute to educational programs for medical staff and students in infectious diseases.
• Provide educational guidance and training on infection prevention and control measures.

Infection Control and Prevention:

• Advise on infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
• Monitor and ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols within the healthcare facility.
• Collaborate with public health authorities and assist in outbreak investigations.

Patient Education:

• Educate patients and their families on managing infectious diseases, including the importance of vaccination, hygiene practices, and following treatment regimens.
• Provide counseling on the prevention of infectious diseases, especially in high-risk populations.

Administrative and Operational Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize the delivery of care.
• Participate in hospital or clinic meetings, case discussions, and strategy development.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of hospital-wide infection prevention strategies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior medical staff.

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Completion of a residency program in Infectious Diseases or equivalent.

Licensure and Certification:

• Valid Department of Health (DOH) license to practice medicine in [UAE].
• Board certification in Infectious Diseases (preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (preferred).

Experience:
