Position Overview:
The Maintenance Operative executes the maintenance of the track and works effectively and efficiently as a member of the team.
Roles and Responsibility:
- Undertakes preventive, corrective, emergency maintenance and repair work as required, in the following fields:
- Spot re-railing
- Spot re-sleepering
- Cutting rail
- Turnout replacement and repair
- Sand removal
- Other general track maintenance activities
Academic Qualifications:
- School Certificate or equivalent
Professional Qualifications:
- Recognized knowledge of track maintenance
- Full driving license
Experience:
- Relevant industry experience
Other Skills:
- English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural team.
