Interior Fitout Draughtsman Full Time

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Technical Drawing:

   Create accurate and detailed technical drawings of joinery elements, including cabinets, doors, windows, and custom-made furniture.

   Ensure that drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.

   Prepare shop drawings for fabrication and installation.

2. Design Coordination:

   Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to understand the overall design concept and requirements.
   Propose joinery solutions that align with the design vision and meet functional needs.

   Coordinate with other trades involved in the project to ensure seamless integration of joinery elements.

3. Material Selection:

   Assist in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for joinery components.
   Consider factors such as durability, aesthetics, and budget when making material choices.

   Quantity Takeoffs:

   Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for joinery materials and components.
   Provide cost estimates for joinery work based on quantity takeoffs and material pricing.

4. Site Visits:

   Conduct site visits to verify measurements, review existing conditions, and address any issues related to joinery installation.

   Project Management:

   Assist in project planning and scheduling, ensuring that joinery work is completed on time and within budget.
   Monitor the progress of joinery fabrication and installation, resolving any issues that may arise.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

• Diploma or equivalent

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

1. Proven experience as a draughtsman in the interior fit-out industry.
2. Proficiency in Autocad, Revit, and other relevant design software.
3. Deep understanding of interior fit-out and joinery processes, materials, and construction techniques.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
