Job Objectives:
Responsible for inspection, verification, monitoring and control of projects quality control activities. Ensure compliance with project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedure and manuals as appropriate to the project requirement.
Day to Day Operations:
Inspection of Materials: Ensure that all materials used in construction meet the required standards and specifications
Monitoring Construction Processes: Oversee the construction process to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project specifications
Testing Structural Components: Conduct tests on structural components to verify their strength, durability, and compliance with design requirements
Reviewing Documentation: Examine and review construction documents, shop drawings, and specifications to identify and rectify any issues
Field Inspections: Perform thorough site inspections to check the placement, location, and quality of civil/structural finishes and building components
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and daily logs documenting inspections, tests, and any non-conformances
Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the project
Compliance and Safety: Monitor safety aspects related to civil/structural installations and ensure that all activities comply with safety regulations
Problem-Solving: Identify and address any quality issues or defects promptly to prevent delays and ensure the project’s structural integrity
Education/Skills/Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
5 years experience of civil engineering works.
In-depth understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, construction methods, and materials
Knowledge of Standards and Regulations: Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using inspection tools, testing equipment, and software for quality control
Ability to manage documentation, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
