Job Description
- Works under general supervision.
- Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
- Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, corridors, utilities, etc.).

Excellent technical knowledge and hands-on experience in roads and earthworks modelling and drafting tools like CiVil3D, AutoCAD, Open Roads, Open Utilities, and MicroStation, and conversant with Abu Dhabi/ Dubai/Middle East design standards.
- Develop and produce drawings in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or associated programs based on designs provided by road designers and modelers for internal and external company use.
- Utilize customized tools, utilities, and scripts to automate work processes and improve AutoCAD productivity and efficiency in compliance with the company CAD standards.
- Understand procedures (i.e. BIM Procedures) and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines, inclusive of Model authoring using BIM tools (C3D) and extracting drawings from BIM models.
- Knowledge of digital tools for preparation of GIS submission to the town planning authority.
- Knowledge of common Data Environments for information exchange like ProjectWise and BIM360. Excellent knowledge in managing Civil3D data shortcuts in ProjectWise and BIM360 environments/
- Performs QA & QC on discipline models and drawings to assure compliance with CAD/BIM standards and requirements.
- Works closely with other designers/Drafters to ensure coordinated and error-free drawings.
- Ability to understand the design process for road and earthworks design.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in BIM.
