O&M General Supervisor Full Time

Purpose of the Job:

To oversee and manage the daily operations and maintenance of landscaping projects, ensuring that the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are met. The O&M General Supervisor will lead field teams, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure the proper care and upkeep of ornamental plants and landscaping features. The role will also require maintaining a smooth workflow in both operational and administrative tasks within the Agriculture landscaping division.

Job Accountabilities:

• Team Management: Supervise and lead field teams in the delivery of landscaping maintenance services, ensuring high standards and safety protocols are followed.
• Maintenance Planning: Develop, implement, and manage the maintenance plans for landscaping projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion of all tasks.
• Landscaping Operations: Oversee the general operations of landscaping maintenance, including grass cutting, irrigation systems, pruning, pest control, and the care of ornamental plants.
• Knowledge of Ornamental Plants: Provide technical guidance to the team on the care, maintenance, and proper handling of ornamental plants, trees, and shrubs.
• Quality Control: Monitor and assess the quality of landscaping work to ensure it meets the company’s standards, client specifications, and environmental requirements.
• Training & Development: Train, mentor, and guide team members in best practices for landscaping maintenance, horticulture, and safety procedures.
• Resource Management: Ensure the availability and proper utilization of equipment, tools, and materials necessary for landscaping maintenance tasks.
• Client Liaison: Coordinate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and address any concerns or special requirements related to landscaping maintenance.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the status of maintenance activities, including work progress, resource utilization, and any issues requiring escalation.
• Health and Safety: Enforce and ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies for landscaping and maintenance activities, promoting a safe work environment.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor the budget for landscaping maintenance activities and ensure cost-effective practices while maintaining high-quality service.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively address any challenges or issues related to landscaping maintenance, providing solutions and escalating where necessary.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in landscaping maintenance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Additional certifications in landscaping, horticulture, or facility management will be a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Landscaping Operations & Maintenance, with a strong supervisory background.
• Proven experience in managing field teams, ensuring timely and quality maintenance delivery.
