Phlebotomist Full Time

1. Performing the work which is assigned, ensuring that it meets all standards as required by ISO        15189: 2012.
2. Identifies the patient – comparing patient information on the requisition to the patient’s identification before venipuncture is performed.
3. Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently.
4. Must have the complete knowledge about which color top tube to use and the volume of blood needed – knows test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed.

Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, blood cultures, blood samples collection and look after the blood collection room requirements and maintain the cleanliness and decorum the blood collection rooms

1. Certificate of training in an approved Phlebotomy program or Diploma (1 year) Medical Laboratory Technology or Degree in any health-related field.
2. Minimum of one (1) year practical experience as Phlebotomist in a reputed Medical Laboratory.
3. Currently licensed in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi UAE.
4. Fluent in spoken & written English, Arabic language is desirable, but not essential.
5. Ability to learn and handle automation & IT programs is desirable but not essential.
