Terminals Facilities Maintenance Foreman  Full Time

Position Overview:

The Terminal Facilities Foreman is responsible for leads the for the execution of the facilities maintenance within the Terminals, the day-to-day supervision of the respective Facilities Maintenance Team {Technicians}, contractor management and supervision.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Maintain a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices so as to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and Contractors.
• Document creation and provide technical support on asset conditions, work methods, budget preparation, costing, capital justifications, etc. to ensure technical consistency within the team.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the Facilities Team as directed by the Facilities Management Supervisor.
• Plans, coordinates and executes all tasks related to the maintenance, upgrades and renewals of the Systems under the Facilities care such as , but not limited to, HVAC, Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm, Electrical LV, ELV, Diesel Generators, BMS, Locomotive Fuelling, Reticulated Fluid system, Mechanical Equipment’s (Air Compressor, Lifting Jack, Wheel Lathe, EOT Crane and others), Material Handling Systems (Conveyors, Rollers, Motors, hoppers and others, Radial Stackers), Railway Specific Loading / Unloading Equipment, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Chlorination System, Washing System, Civil Building Maintenance, Wheel Wash system, Silo and related.
• Assists the Supervisor in investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective measures definition.
• Provide On-Call coverage as directed by the Facilities Management Manager or Supervisor.
• Responsible to ensure adequate training and development of the Employees reporting to the Facilities Foreman, including new joiners.
• Ensures compliance with Etihad Rail DB Competency Management System across the Facilities section team members.
• Ensures adherence to the Etihad Rail DB Safety, Environment and Quality policies and programs including carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
• Conducts regular safety inspections and implements corrective actions as required.
• Supports the Facilities Management Supervisor to ensure that product compliance is maintained, Identify, manage and closeout safety risks.
• Executes and records preventive, corrective, repair and emergency activities
• Engages with other operating disciplines, including planners, to coordinate facility maintenance activities.
• Local supervision of contractors · Undertakes similar and related tasks and duties as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, as required.

Academic Qualifications:

University degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 4 years’ applicable experience or High School Diploma and 7 years of applicable experience, preferably in Railway Terminals or Material Handling sectors.

Professional Qualifications:

• Full driving license or ability to convert it to UAE License
• Knowledge of applicable Building Facilities or Material Handling Terminals, preferably within the Railway environment.
• Knowledge of UAE Fire Code and Electrical Wiring Regulations
• Knowledge of SAP Maintenance module
• Recognized competence assessor qualification
• Contract Management principles knowledge

Experience:

• Proven experience with Facilities Management or Material Handling Systems.
• Proven experience with fault and root cause analysis.
• 5 years’ relevant experience on Facilities Management.
• Relevant experience in a Heavy Rail Environment or Loading / Unloading Terminal facilities.
• User experience with SAP · Contract Management Experience.
