Position Overview:
The Track Maintenance Foreman is responsible for the execution of the track maintenance plan, evaluating the needs for each maintenance action and the day-to-day supervision of the Track Maintenance Team.
Roles and Responsibility:
- Plans, coordinates and executes all activities of the Track Maintenance Team, including spot re-railing, spot re-sleepering, cutting and grinding rail and turnout replacement and repair.
- Supports the Track Maintenance Team’s works scheduling and follow-up service.
- Evaluates the needs for each maintenance activity.
- Communicates with the Track Maintenance Supervisor and the Infrastructure Planner in regard to set plans and progress made.
- Carry out PS, PIC and WS duties.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and Contractors operating in Etihad Rail.
Academic Qualifications:
- School Certificate or equivalent
Professional Qualifications:
- Recognized knowledge of track maintenance
- Knowledge of track geometry
- Full driving license
Experience:
- Relevant industry experience
- Experience in writing reports
Other Skills:
- English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skill
- Good planning skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to motivate, direct employees and critically assess performance of employees
- Ability to work in a multicultural team.
