Head of Public Health Unit Full Time

Purpose of the job

The Head of Public Health Unit will oversee the planning, execution, and management of public health pest control operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and public safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, and a strategic approach to managing both people and projects in the public health domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all public health operations, ensuring high standards in pest control service delivery.
• Design and implement strategic plans for public health initiatives and projects.
• Manage project lifecycles, budgets, staffing, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure the safe and effective application of public health pesticides in line with regulatory and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public health pest control methods and innovations.
• Analyze market trends and opportunities, providing input for business development and service expansion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government and regulatory bodies, clients, and community stakeholders.
• Supervise, train, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of public health professionals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and environmental regulations.
• Report regularly to senior leadership on unit performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in public health products and operational projects.
• Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within the public health or pest control sector.
• In-depth knowledge of public health pesticides, application procedures, and pest control project design and execution.
• Strong understanding of the public health market and regulatory landscape.
