1. Role Objective
The primary objective of this role is to ensure effective risk management, compliance, and governance practices across the organization. The specialist will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, implementing and monitoring internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Delegation of Authority.
2. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Growth & Sustainability related :
1. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
2. Develop and maintain an effective compliance framework and control environment.
3. Monitor changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
4. Work on preparing a model to map and align all strategic initiatives within the company with a cause & effect approach.
Customer related:
1. Support the implementation and maintenance of effective governance frameworks and structures.
2. Monitor the effectiveness of the existing processes and provide recommendations for improvements.
3. Conduct periodic reviews of corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with best practices.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability within the organization.
Operational Excellence related:
1. Prepare regular reports for management and relevant committees, including reviewing the submissions to the Tender Committee and the Tech. Projects Committee.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the Transformation program activities, and governance initiatives.
3. Ensure that documentation and reporting comply with internal standards and the Delegation of Authority.
Performance Driven Organization related:
1. Develop and implement the needed strategies to cover management strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
2. Monitor performance through Balanced scorecards for Finance dept. and align with the overall company’s performance indicators.
3. Conduct gap assessments and facilitate workshops to enhance awareness and foster a performance-driven culture within the organization.
Technical:
– Strong communication and presentation skills
– Strong analytical skills
– Sound understanding of accounting principles
– Proficient in financial modelling and data analysis
. Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
– CFA, MBA is a plus
Preferred Experience:
– Utilities industry
– Regulated businesses.
