About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Specialist to join the team at Jumeirah Living.
Main Duties: and responsibilities of this role:
- Works within the ITIL process framework ensuring all activities are accurately logged in Enterprise Service management System.
- Provides first level IT support to colleagues and guests within agreed SLAs.
- Facilitate the interaction between end users and higher-level support.
- Monitor system and network performance and organize maintenance activities.
- Perform daily, monthly, and yearly backup of the systems.
- Process renewal of the annual maintenance contracts
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Setting up accounts for new users
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
- Testing new technology
- Possibly training junior staff
- Maintain all users access request and authorizations (Windows, E-mail, Opera, Micros, etc.)
- Respond to all users request and provide them with adequate support.
- Must know the Network fundamentals, general network setup and device configuration.
- knowledge on Active Directory, Management, and Implementations.
- Monitors and maintains proper inventory of hardware and software license.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- College Degree or a Diploma in Information Technology
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in similar capacity in a hospitality establishment
- Computer literate specifically MS Office.
- Service-oriented patient and understanding
- Committed, confident, dynamic, flexible & a smart worker who is willing to learn new things face new challenges.
- Can easily adjust & adapt to a new environment and deal with different types of customers.
- With excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
- Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Experience with these Hospitality related applications and or systems (PMS, POS, Key card, PBX, Voice mail, IPTV, etc).
