Specialist Digitalization Engineer Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Key Responsibilities

• Familiar with secure OT/IT interfaces for control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLCs).
• Ensure seamless data flow from field devices to enterprise systems (e.g., PI System, ERP, cloud).
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce network segmentation and compliance with standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST).
• Support deployment of digital platforms including historians, OPC servers, MQTT brokers, and edge devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve OT/IT communication issues.
• Coordinate with I&C, IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage vendors and system integrators during project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in OT/IT integration, preferably in oil & gas or industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, PROFINET).
• Experience with control systems (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson, Siemens, ABB).
• Familiarity with IT networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and standards.

Preferred Certifications

• ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificate
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP (Industrial or Security)
• Microsoft Azure IoT or AWS IoT certifications
• PMP or equivalent project management certification (optional)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and collaboration across departments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
