MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, backup planning, and business continuity procedures.
• Monitor maintenance tools, including performance monitoring, backup solutions, and troubleshooting.
• Manage virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and virtual environments efficiently.
• Manage and operate systems on-premises and in the cloud (Hybrid Environment).
• Manage storage systems, including SAN/NAS, storage allocation, and performance optimization.
• Participate in system architecture and design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of IT infrastructure.
• Support other employees of the IT section in fulfilling their roles and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping, and environmental directives.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and optimization to maintain high availability and performance.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve IT infrastructure and services.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, IT and Digitalization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related field in IT. Professional certifications such as MCSA or MCSE are required; additional certifications (e.g., VMware, Azure, CCNA) are a plus.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in managing Windows Server systems, networking, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN.
• Experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
• Proficient in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Experience in data center operations including servers, racks, power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity planning.
• Familiarity with monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to manage on-premises and cloud environments (Hybrid Infrastructure).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage priorities.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
