JOB PURPOSE
The position holder is primarily responsible for sourcing of suppliers (Local & Global), pre-initial negotiation, involved in drafting/reviewing the commercial contracts terms and coordination with the internal supply planning department for the forecasted demand. The role holder will be involved in drafting/reviewing the commercial contracts terms and coordination with the shared services divisions.
The successful incumbent will mainly be involved in sourcing for raw materials (milk powder, stabilizers, cultures, juice concentrates, compounds, ingredients, Flavors); Water (PET resins, minerals) and Packaging materials (preforms, corrugated, role-fed aseptic packaging, blanks, shrink film, stretch fillings, glues, preforms, caps) for the manufacturing.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Supplier Sourcing
• Prepare and float RFP/RFQ’s with approved specifications and commercial terms as per the Policy guidelines.
• Negotiation on commercial offers, consolidating and leveraging requirements to secure optimal purchase and delivery terms.
• Prepare commercial quotes comparison and enable selection of the most favourable quote/s with the payment terms.
• Coordinating with end user department for the completion of the technical evaluations, and to ensure completion prior to award, as required.
• Ensure acknowledgement of issued PO’s and coordination with suppliers, store, and Supply Planning team.
Reports
• Prepare various types of reports quarterly review report (Budgeted cost v/s actual cost) category spend analysis report (identify major spends, opportunities for cost optimization).
• Alternate supplier development (cost advantage vs current) order Management.
Others
• Reduce lead time from suppliers by advance supply planning on annual requirements
• Optimize inventory holding levels through reduced order cycles, stock call off and minimum order processing in coordination with supply planning team.
• Develop effective supplier management with the main RM category suppliers and ensure priority status for NFPC requirement.
• Maintain the category-wise approved supplier list, identifying single/sole suppliers for alternate supplier development projects with the Quality team.
• Closely monitor market intelligence reports and prepare risk assessment analysis for key RM.
• To continuously source and qualify reliable suppliers based on approved material specifications in coordination with the Quality/R&D and shared services team.
